Malayalam for Indian children in Kuwait
Kuwait has one of the most Kerala-rooted Indian communities in the Gulf, with Malayali families concentrated in Abbasiya, Salmiya, Farwaniya and Mangaf. Children attend Indian schools where Hindi and Arabic are taught but Malayalam isn't, and many leave for college in India or Kerala without ever learning to read their mother tongue. A weekly class with a teacher from Kerala changes that early, while it's still easy.
Ready for a move back to Kerala
Many Kuwait families plan to return to Kerala for higher secondary or college. Children who can read and write Malayalam settle in faster. The academic track covers grammar, comprehension and writing for exactly that.

No. Older children learn the letters faster than young ones, and because they already speak Malayalam at home they recognise written words quickly. Many of our Kuwait students start between Class 6 and Class 10.
