My child understands Telugu but can't read it. Where do we start?

Do you teach Telugu to children whose parents speak different languages?
Yes. Classes are taught in English alongside Telugu, so children from mixed-language homes can learn comfortably.
Can Telugu count toward the Seal of Biliteracy?
It depends on your state and district, which set the approved assessments. Strong Telugu reading and writing puts your child in a good position if your district accepts it.
What times can my child take Telugu classes from the US?
Weekday early mornings and Saturday mornings work best. For example, 7 am in New York is 4:30 pm in India in summer, and 8 am on Saturday in California is 8:30 pm in India in summer. The time table on this page works it out for your time zone.
